COLLECTION It is said that when they were not at war with enemy peoples, the ancient Dacians delighted in discovering the mysteries of the sky. Created in the spirit of those ancient times and putting into practice the most innovative winemaking techniques, the new Pincomet Rosé (stylized also πNCOMET) was born. Pincomet Rosé is an oasis of relaxation. A wine for those who want to live freely, under the sky full of bright stars that shed their light on us, the comet seekers.
VARIETY The grapes used in this fresh blend come from two internationally renowned varieties: Merlot and Pinot Noir. When vinified into rosé, French Merlot gives the wines from which it is created a medium structure and intense aromas of ripe red summer fruits, such as strawberries or cherries. On the other hand, Pinot Noir is one of the most suitable varieties for obtaining rosé wines, thanks to its velvety structure and vibrant acidity.
TERROIR To obtain Pincomet Rosé, the winemakers at Crama Budureasca hand-selected Merlot and Pinot Noir grapes from plots located in distinct areas of our vineyards, at altitudes of 170m (Pinot Noir) and 200m (Merlot). In these plots, the clay and sandy soils are very rich in essential minerals for the growth of the vine. The harvest was done just before reaching full maturity, so that the grapes have a high natural acidity in the fruit.
WINEMAKING DETAILS The noble grapes of the Merlot and Pinot Noir varieties were directly pressed and fermented at a temperature of approximately 15°C for three weeks. For this wine, no maceration on the skins was carried out at all, the winemaker’s aim being to preserve the freshness of the aromas and not to extract too much color and bitter tannins from the skins. Finally, a small amount of CO₂ was added to the wine to enhance the aromas and give it a crisp acidity.
