The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were vinified separately from those of Fetească Neagră. We harvest them late in our vines to obtain the most homogeneous blend. 40% of these two grape varieties were aged for 12 months in American and Romanian oak barrels, to obtain more complexity and character. This wine has excellent aging potential in bottle.
Dark ruby red color, with complex aromas of black cherries, blackberries and blackcurrant, joined by a hint of wood. The wine has a delicious blackberry taste, with well-integrated tannins and pleasant acidity.
It goes very well with duck, beef or mutton breasts, and it is excellent with medium-aged cheeses.
This wine is best served at a temperature of 15-17°C.
