VARIETY & TERROIR We created this perfectly balanced white blend from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris grapes, handpicked from the best parcels of Budureasca vineyards. The name of this wine was inspired by the smoked wood from the oak barrels in which part of the wine was fermented. Fume Premium has quickly become one of the most popular and appreciated wines created by Budureasca. It is no surprise that this wine has won many international medals over the years at famous competitions.

WINEMAKING DETAILS Stephen Donnelly, the creator behind our wines, spent a lot of time trying to achieve a white wine that would express the story behind its conception. Thus was born Premium FUME, a blend of three perfectly balanced noble varieties (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Fetească Regală), whose name reminds us of the smoked wood of the oak barrel in which part of the wine was fermented.

The exact recipe for producing our FUME is a very well-guarded internal secret, known in detail only to Stephen and the team of professionals who participate in the creation of the wine. Premium FUME has become over time a symbol of Crama Budureasca, often copied but never equaled, appreciated at the most prestigious international competitions in the industry.

Straw-yellow color with golden reflections and notes that are reminiscent of the summer sensations brought by almond flowers, tropical fruits, ripe pears, and Madagascar vanilla. The taste, both elegant and balanced, elevated by accents of smoked wood, leads to a long and harmonious finish.
