This wine was created as a blending of 3 noble varieties: Feteasca Alba, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, vinified as white sparkling, after the traditional method with bottle fermentation. The three grape varieties were hand-picked early in the autumn and it was only used the free run and the first press run juice to create the sparkling wine. The wine has spent 9 months in the bottle at a pressure of 1 bar.

COLLECTION We launched the Organic collection in 2015 to offer you certified organic wines of the highest purity, and Prima Stilla Organic is the first sparkling wine included in the collection. Our organic wines are created exclusively from hand-picked grapes from plots of vines that have not been treated with fertilizers, pesticides or other substances. All ingredients come from Mother Nature – earth, water, air, sunlight.

VARIETY To make this sparkling wine, our specialists chose a mix of three noble varieties. Feteasca Albă (50%) was paired with two French varieties from the Pinot family – Pinot Gris (40%) and Pinot Noir (10%). All three varieties were picked early from our plantation, before reaching maturity, to obtain higher acidity and a low alcohol level.

TERROIR 2024 was a difficult year in the Budureasca vineyards, marked by episodes of drought and hail that were difficult to counteract. Thus, the production per hectare was lower than in other harvest years, the impact being greater in organic vines, because various substances are not used to additionally protect them from external factors. However, the grapes were qualitative, with a good ratio between acidity and aromas.

WINEMAKING DETAILS Prima Stilla Organic sparkling wine was created using the Traditional Method (Champenoise), with double fermentation. First, the grapes were gently pressed to obtain the best must, then the wines fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. The three wines were blended, with the second fermentation taking place inside each bottle for 60 days at a temperature of 12°C. Subsequently, the wine was aged on the lees for 12 months, then after disgorging a brut natur dosage (with zero sugar) was added.

Tasting Notes

In the glass, Prima Stilla Organic sparkling wine greets us with a brilliant pale greenish-yellow color. The elegant and delicate aromas are reminiscent of ripe apple, with notes of brioche. The taste is balanced and well-structured, with accents of walnut and green apple that harmoniously intertwine in a fresh and refined finish.

Food Pairing

It is recommended to serve as an appetizer. It can be paired, if desired, with tomato and mozzarella bruschetta, smoked salmon sandwiches, grilled fish, foie gras, sushi or tempura shrimp.

Serving Temperature

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 5-7°C. Before consumption, store in a dark and cool place, away from sunlight.
